This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct respondents to provide sufficient police protection for free distribution of essentials to the deserving people and cultural programme in the name of "Sri Bakthi Variety Show" during temple festival in A/m.Sri Kaliyamman Thirukoil, Sri Chellandi Amman Kovil North Street, Dindigul, Scheduled on 11.07.2018 and 12.07.2018 at 6.00 a.m., to 11.00 p.m.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 3.According to the petitioner, he made a representation dated 03.07.2018 to the second respondent to provide sufficient police protection for free distribution of essentials to the deserving people and cultural programme in the name of "Sri Bakthi Variety Show" during temple festival in A/m.Sri Kaliyamman Thirukoil, Sri Chellandi Amman Kovil North Street, Dindigul, Scheduled on 11.07.2018 and 12.07.2018 at 6.00 a.m., to 11.00 p.m.. has been passed in the said representation, the petitioner has filed this writ petition with the aforesaid prayer. 4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation is still pending with the second respondent. Therefore, this Court may pass appropriate orders to consider the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law.
5.Considering the submission made by both parties, without expressing any opinion on merits of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.07.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 10.07.2018. 6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
