The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for a mandamus seeking for rectification of pay anamolies in respect of the members of the petitioner / Association.
2. According to the petitioner / Association, their members are working as Technical Assistants, Foremen, Supervisors, Overseers, Draughtsmen, Electricians and Wiremen in the Senior Grade Temples. According to them, some of the members' pay has not been revised subsequent to VI Pay Commission as well as VIIth Pay Commission on par with the scale of pay given to the similar employees working as Departmental Employees in the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department and as well as in 2/5
other Departments of the Government of Tamil Nadu. The petitioner / Association had given several representations for the aforementioned purpose. Since the said representations were not considered, the petitioner / Association has filed this Writ Petition.
3. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents on instructions would submit that, if a representation is given by the petitioner / Association, the same will be considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
4. Accordingly, this Court directs the petitioner / Association to submit a fresh representation to the respondents seeking for rectification of the alleged pay anamolies pursuant to VI Pay Commission report in respect to their members, who are working as Technical Assistants, Foremen, Supervisors, Overseers, Draughtsmen, Electricians and Wiremen in the Senior Grade Temples and consequential revised scale of pay given to them after VI Pay Commission as well as VII Pay Commission on par with the scale of pay given to the similar employees working as Departmental Employees in the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department as well as in other Departments of the Government of Tamil Nadu within a period of two weeks 3/5
from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the said representation, the respondents are directed to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation within a period of twelve weeks thereafter.
5. With the aforesaid direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
