Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents dispose of my appeal for modification of patta and issue of joint patta pending on the file of the 2nd respondent in file No.A1/6522/2013. For Petitioner : Mr.R.Narayanan For Respondents : Mr.S.Chandrasekar, Government Advocate.

O R D E R

The prayer in the writ petition is to direct the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's appeal for modification of patta and issue joint patta which is pending on the file of the second respondent in file No.A1/6522/2013.

2.It is seen that the petitioner has already approached the respondents by way of several representations for modification of patta. In spite of that, the claim of the petitioner has not been considered by the respondents. Hence, the present writ petition. 3.Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to dispose of the appeal on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
