[Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J.] This writ petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to transfer the petitioner's husband Mr.G.Senthilkumar from B Class to A class in the 3rd respondent Central Prison, in the light of Rule 225 of the Tamilnadu Prison Manual, by considering petitioner's representation dated 26.03.2025 within a time frame.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 26.03.2025 is under process. The Probation Officer by proceedings in g.tp.vz; 92/25 dated 20.05.2025, has recommended the case of the petitioner's husband to the District Collector and the Collector has also recommended the case of the convict prisoner and the matter is now pending with the 2nd respondent/Director General of Page No.2 of 4

Police (Prisons) and Correctional Services, Chennai, who in turn has to forward the same to the 1st respondent/Government and the Government has to pass orders.

In view of the same, the 2nd respondent is directed to forward a report on the request of the petitioner to the 1st respondent, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such report, the 1st respondent shall pass orders within a period of four weeks thereafter.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
