For Petitioner : Mr.B.Anandan For R1 and R2 : Mr.B.Nambiselvan Additional Public Prosecutor O RDER This petition has been filed to direct the 1st Respondent to instruct the 2nd Respondent police to give necessary police protection to the life and limb of petitioner and his family members on the basis of the Petitioner's representation dated 28.03.2023.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the third respondent against this petitioner and another, a case in Crime No.669 of 2022 was registered under Sections 120B, 109, 294(b), 302 IPC. This petitioner moved an Anticipatory Bail application before this Court in Crl.O.P(MD) No.22785 of 2022, that was allowed on 22.12.2022, granting Anticipatory Bail to the petitioner with some conditions.

3. Now the grievance of the petitioner is that they are experiencing life threat at the hands of the third respondent/defacto complainant and others.

4. In respect of the above said occurrence, the investigation is still pending. The petitioner being the accused in the above said case and also enjoying anticipatory bail, there is no question of causing life threat to the petitioner by the private respondents herein.

5. Since the representation is kept pending, the above said petition shall be enquired by the second respondent herein by summoning the petitioner as well as the private parties, ascertain whether any life threat has been made by the defacto complainant and others to the petitioner and dispose the above said representation within a week from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6. With the above said direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
