O RDER This petition is filed to direct the second respondent to give adequate police protection for life and limb of the petitioner and his family members on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 27.03.2023.

2. On the side of the petitioner, it is stated that the third respondent is an adjacent land owner and he is encroaching the land, in this regard, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the second respondent and prayed for a direction to complete the investigation within a time limit to be fixed by this Court.

3. On the side of the private respondent/third respondent,it is stated that the third respondent is residing in the property from the year 2004 and the property was already surveyed. Without leaving any set back area, the petitioner constructed a new house and he is trying encroach the set back the area left by the third respondent.

4. On the side of the prosecution, it is stated that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case was registered in Crime No. 2/4

80 of 2023, on 16.03.2023, under Sections, 447, 147, 294(b), 323, 427 of I.P.C and r/w. Section 4 of TNPHW Act.

5. On the side of the third respondent, it is stated that a counter complaint was lodged by the third respondent, it was not registered by the police.

6. On the side of the prosecution, it is stated that no counter complaint was filed.

7. A perusal of the records reveals that there is some property dispute pending between the petitioner and the third respondent, which is civil in nature. The dispute is civil in nature, hence, no direction is necessary. This Petition is dismissed.
