O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the District and Sessions Court of Kanyakumari at Nagercoil to expedite the appeal in Crl.Appeal No.33 of 2014 on the file of the Hon'ble District and Sessions Court of kanyakumari at Nagercoil.

2. It is seen that Gnanaiyan prosecuted Sundar Singh in STC No.3427 of 2006 before the District Munsif-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Eraniel for the offence under Section 138 of N.I.Act, in which Sundar Singh was convicted on 11.06.2013. Thereafter, Sundar Singh filed Crl.A.No.33 of 2014, which is pending on the file of District and Sessions Court, Kanyakumari at Nagercoil. Under such circumstances, Gnanaiyan is before this Court for a direction to the learned District and Sessions Judge, Kanyakumari at Nagercoil to dispose of Crl.A.No.33 of 2014 expeditiously.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, there is no representation for the petitioner and the respondent and therefore, there is no point in keeping this petition pending on the file of this Court indefinitely. Hence, this Court directs the learned District and Sessions Court, Kanyakumari at Nagercoil to dispose of Crl.A.No.33 of 2014, if not already disposed of, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, provided there are no other legal impediments. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
