O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the fourth respondent to complete the investigation in Cr.No.195 of 2014 and file a final report within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that investigation was completed and final report is filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumangalam and it was taken on file in C.C.No.95 of 2021.

3. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that since the crime is of the year 2014, a direction may be issued to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumangalam, to expedite the trial.

4. The request of the learned counsel for the petitioner seems to be reasonable. Considering the oldness of the crime, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumangalam, to expedite the trial and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
