Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondent Nos.1 and 2 to disburse the Insurance Amount of Rs. 2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Only) under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) accrued on the death of Tmt. J.Suseela W/o. Jayaraman died on 26.10.2025 subscribed through his savings Bank Account bearing No. 100501000010691 held in the 2nd respondent bank as per representation of the petitioners dated 09.01.2026 within a time 1/6

ORDER

The petitioner is before this Court seeking a direction to the respondents to disburse the insurance amount of Rs.2,00,000/-(Rupees Two lakhs only) under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) on account of the death of Tmt. J.Suseela, W/o.Jayaraman. The deceased had subscribed to the said scheme and she died on 26.10.2025.

2. The petitioner claims to be the son of the deceased insured and he made a representation with the respondents to disburse the said insurance amount. The petitioner's grievance is that the said representation has not been considered as of today. 2/6

3. Learned Standing counsel for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered, subject to the petitioner furnishing all relevant documents, in accordance with law, within the time to be stipulated by this Court.

4. The said submission is taken on record.

5.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation dated 09.01.2026 submitted by the petitioner on its own merits and in accordance with law.

6. The said exercises shall be completed within a period of six(6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. There shall be no order as to costs.
