The Writ Petitions have been filed seeking issuance of a Mandamus to direct the third respondent to consider the petitioners' renewal application dated 27.03.2014 for the period from 01.04.2014 to 31.03.2015 to carry on fishing operation in the Papanasam Lower Dam, Papanasam Upper Dam, Servalar Dam and Karaiyar Dam at Papanasam, Tirunelveli District. 3.Heard the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 2 and 3.

4.Having regard to the prayer in the writ petitions, this Court finds that the period for which the renewal applications were given to the third respondent, is over and hence, the Writ Petitions are liable to be dismissed as infructuous. Accordingly, the Writ Petitions are dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
