This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner submits that the petitioner is having life threat.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submits that based on the petitioner's complaint, enquiry was conducted and the same is closed.

4.In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court is of the view that on mere apprehension, this Court is not inclined to issue any protection to the petitioner. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is closed. In the event, if any threat has been made 2/4

to the petitioner, it is always open to the petitioner to lodge a complaint before the concerned Police Station.
