Govt. Advocate(Crl. Side), appearing on behalf of the first Respondent and of Mr.M.Nambu Marimuthu, Advocate for the second respondent, this Court made the following order: This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings in S.T.C.No.303 of 2018, pending on the file of the District Munsif-cum-Judicial Magistrate Court, Rameswaram. 2.On 09.09.2020, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that parties have settled their dispute amicably out of Court and that they have also entered into a compromise on the advise of elders. Therefore, this Court directed the Registry to post the matter today, for filing compromise memo and also for appearance of parties. 3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, though a Compromise Memo dated 09.09.

2010, has been filed and the petitioners and the second respondent are present before this Court through Video Conferencing and in spite of repeated instructions given to the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) that the matter will be called at the end of list, none of the officers attached with the first respondent Police were present before this Court through Video Conferencing till 03.30 p.m., which shows the lethargic attitude of the respondent police. Hence, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rameswaram Town, is directed to be present before this Court on 14.09.2020, through Video Conferencing.
