ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed for a direction to the respondents 1 & 2 to consider and pass orders forthwith on the representation of the petitioner, dated 28.04.2021.
2.Mr.K.S.Selvaganesan, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2.
3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.
4.According to the petitioner, he was appointed as Watchman on 01.03.2021 in the third respondent's College against the regular vacancy that arose in the wake of the promotion of the previous incumbent M.Suresh Babu on 04.01.2021. The Government has sanctioned both teaching as well as non-teaching posts for the Aided College. The said post is an approved and aided post. Hence, the third respondent College submitted a proposal to the second respondent, on 11.03.2021, for approval and disbursement of grant-in-aid towards 1/3
the salary of the petitioner with all necessary particulars. Since there was no response, the petitioner submitted a detailed representation, dated 28.04.2021, to the first respondent through the second respondent, to approve his appointment forthwith with effect from 01.03.2021 and to disburse his salary and other attendant benefits. The representation of the petitioner has not been considered so far. Hence, the petitioner has come out with the present Writ Petition.
5.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the proposal submitted by the third respondent, dated 11.03.2021 and the representation of the petitioner, dated 28.04.2021 would be considered on merits within the period stipulated by this Court.
6.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to consider the proposal submitted by the third respondent, dated 11.03.2021 and the representation of the petitioner, dated 28.04.2021 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
