ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to consider and pass final orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 17.12.2013 with regard to grant of
Scholarship to the petitioner under National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme.
2.According to the petitioner, while she was studying 8th standard, she has participated in the National Eligibility Test under National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (N.M.M.S), conducted by State Educational Department under the control of the first respondent and in that test, she has been selected. As per the scheme, the third respondent has to pay a sum of Rs.500/- per month for 42 months to the petitioner. But, so far, the third respondent did not make any payment. Hence, the petitioner has made a representation to the respondents. But, no order has been passed. Hence, this writ petition has been filed.
3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the third respondent produced a copy of the communication dated 24.01.2018, issued by the Ministry of Human Resource Development Department School Education & Literacy (Secondary Scholarship Division), wherein it is stated that two candidates were selected under the scheme and in respect of one student by name Dinesh Babu, entire amount has been paid. So far as the petitioner is concerned, since she did not furnish the correct bank account details, hence amount has not been disbursed to her, and the petitioner was directed to approach the first respondent and give correct bank account details, enabling the authorities to pass suitable orders.
4.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent submitted that in the event of the petitioner furnishing correct bank account particulars, the same will be forwarded to the third respondent for passing appropriate orders. 5.In view of the above said submission, the petitioner is directed to approach the first respondent and furnish correct bank account details and on receipt of such particulars, the first respondent is directed to communicate the same to the third respondent, enabling him to pay the amount to the petitioner. 6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
