Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. praying to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to provide Police protection to the petitioner and his property in Old Survey No.204/1 and New Survey No.204/5 measuring to an extent of 1 Acre and 42 cents situated in Mookkudi Village, Aranthangi Village, Pudukkottai District.

ORDER

It is an application seeking a direction to the respondents to provide Police protection to the petitioner for cleaning his land in Old Survey No.204/1 and New Survey No.204/5, measuring to an extent of 1 Acre and 42 cents situated in Mookkudi Village, Aranthangi Village, Pudukkottai District, and to put up fence on the same.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents. By consent, the Criminal Original Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the petitioner's vendor succeeded in the civil litigation in respect of the ownership of the property, the petitioner, who is the subsequent purchaser of the property, is prevented by the opponents to do agricultural activities while cleaning the same and therefore, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 03.05.2016 to the third respondent. As there was no response to the same, the petitioner has come up with this petition. 4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, gave an undertaking that the third respondent would consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.05.2016 and offer adequate police protection to the petitioner for a limited period as and when it is asked for by the petitioner.
