ORDER
Seeking to direct the third respondent to take necessary action as against the private respondents by considering the petitioner's complaint dated 09.03.2026 and to conclude the same within time frame as fixed by this Court, this petition is filed.
2.Since no adverse order is likely to be passed against the private respondents, notice to them is dispensed with. 3.It is the case of the petitioner that he pledged his gold jewels with the private respondents' finance company, namely, Easa Gold Finance situated at Murugan Kovil Road, Peraiyur, Madurai District on 06.02.2025 and borrowed an amount from them. Thereafter, when the petitioner attempted to redeem his jewelry, he came to know that the private respondents had sold his jewels without following due procedure. When the same was questioned by the petitioner, the private respondents theatened him and the same amount to criminal intimidation. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint on 26.01.2026 2/5
and the police officials advised both the parties to make amicable negotiation. However, the private respondents refused to heed anything, hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint on 09.03.2026 before the respondents 1 to 3. Since no action was taken so far, the present petition is filed. 4.The learned Government Advocate (crl.side) on instructions submitted that investigation is pending.
5.Heard either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.
6.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the third respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the petitioner's complaint dated 09.03.2026 by putting the petitioner as well as the private respondents on notice under Section 64 of BNSS and conclude the same within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The second respondent is directed to monitor the investigation being conducted by the third respondent. The third respondent is directed to appraise the progress of the investigation to the second respondent from time to time.
