ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to expedite the investigation in Crime No.3 of 2023, dated 13.01.2023 and to file the final report within a stipulated time by this Court.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that so far five witnesses have been examined. On the very same set of allegations, the defacto complainant had given a complaint against the petitioner, that was registered in Crime No.16 of 2000, in which, investigation was completed and Final Report was also filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Theni, and is taken cognizance in C.C.No. 356 of 2012 and after full trial, all the accused persons have been acquitted on 08.10.2015.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the complaint that was registered in Crime No.16 of 2000 is entirely different from the present complaint.

4. Whether it is the same complaint or different complaint is for the respondent herein to make the investigation. The respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above said direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
