The learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the petitioner had already been promoted to the post of Additional Superintendent of Police. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner made a submission that proposal was already sent to grant other benefits on par with the petitioner's juniors. Thus, the respondents have to pursue the proposal and take appropriate decision without causing any further delay.
