This writ petition has been filed in public interest, seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents herein to forthwith implement the provisions of Rules 20 and 21 of Tamil Nadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules 2009 (Framed under the Central Act 1956 of 2007).

2. None appears for the petitioner.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the representation dated 26.12.2013 submitted by him has not been considered so far and hence, this writ petition.

4. Without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, the second respondent is directed to verify the nature of the claim made by the petitioner and consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.12.2013 on its own merit and in accordance with law. that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the authority concerned is free to deal with the matter on its own merit as per law.
