PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the first respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No.244 of 2022 dated 24.04.2022 on the file of the second respondent to the third respondent or some other investigation agency within the stipulated period fixed by this Court. O RDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No.244 of 2022 from the file of the second respondent to the third respondent or some other investigation agency within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's daughter, viz., Divya was married to one Mahendran in the year 2011 and they were blessed with two children. From the date of the marriage, the said Mahendran and his family members harassed the petitioner's daughter demanding dowry. On 24.04.2022, the petitioner received a phone call from the said Mahendran that his daughter died and thereafter, the petitioner made a complaint before the second respondent Police and a case was registered in Crime No.244 of 2022 for the offence under Section 174 Cr.P.C. However, there is no progress in the investigation. Hence, this Petition has been filed.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner has evidence to show that the said Mahendran attacked the petitioner's daughter and thereby, she committed suicide, however, the second respondent Police is not conducting the investigation in a 2/5

proper manner. On instructions, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is ready to produce the evidence before the second respondent Police.

In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court directs the petitioner to produce the evidence before the second respondent Police within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the second respondent Police is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.244 of 2022, after considering all those materials produced by the petitioner and file a final report within a period of twelve weeks from thereon.
