: Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the body of the detenu, by name, M.Varsha, aged about 18 years, D/o.Muthuraman, before this Court and set her at liberty.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by C.T.SELVAM, J.] The present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the mother of the detenu, seeking a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the body of the detenu, by name, M.Varsha, aged about 18 years, D/o.Muthuraman, before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. The detenu, the daughter of the petitioner, has been produced by the second respondent police. On enquiry, she informs that she was in love with her relative, which was not to the liking of her parents. Thus, she eventually left the parental home and joined a course of study in law and was staying at a Hostel in Chennai. She has returned to the parental home, as her parents had also agreed that she may marry, as per her choice and may also pursue her education. The petitioner, who is present in Court, affirms such position.

3. Recording the above, the Habeas Corpus Petition shall stand closed.
