*********** [Order of the Court was made by C.T.SELVAM, J.] https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ The petitioner seeks a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to pay suitable compensation and provision of a

government job to each of the victim's families in relation to deaths caused as a result of bus having been set on fire on 25.05.2018.

2. We have heard Mr.A.M.Sundaravel, appeared in person and Mr.K.Chellapandian, learned Additional Advocate General, Assisted by Mr.R.Sethuraman, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. Mr.K.Chellapandian, learned Additional Advocate General, on instructions, clarifies that in respect of the incident spoken to by the petitioner, which took place on 25.05.2018, at Karungulam, Srivaikundam Taluk, a case has been registered in Crime No.60 of 2018, on the file of Seithunganallur Police Station for offences under Sections 294(b) 307 IPC @ 302 IPC and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Property (Prevention of Damage And Loss) Act, 1992 and investigation is pending. He further clarifies that the submission of the petitioner that three persons had died is incorrect and one person, by name, Valliammal, aged 65 years, had died and the Government had paid compensation in a sum of Rs.10,00,000/-, which had been accepted by her family members.

4. In the light of the above submission, we do not find any reason to entertain this Writ Petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition shall stand dismissed. No costs.
