ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent No.3 to grant approval 2/7

to the appointment of the petitioner in the post of Secondary Grade Teacher with effect from 22.12.2023 at the 5th respondent school with all consequential monetary benefits.

2. Heard Mr.T.Lajapathi Roy, learned Senior Counsel assisted by Mr.T.Aswin Raja Simman, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.Amjadkhan, learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

3. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

4. The proposal sent by the fifth respondent school for the appointment of the petitioner to the post of Secondary Grade Teacher is pending for decision.

5. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that despite the proposal was sent as early as on 14.01.2024, no order 3/7

has been passed so far and that causes inconvenience in disbursing the salary to the petitioner.

6. It is further submitted that there is no surplus vacancy available in the Corporation Management of the fifth respondent school and to this effect, the Superintendent of Palayakkottai Marai Mavattam Schools has given a certificate.

7. In view of the same, there cannot be any difficulty for the third respondent to consider the proposal sent by the petitioner and to pass appropriate orders.

8. Hence, the third respondent is directed to consider the proposal sent by the petitioner on 14.01.2024 seeking approval to the appointment of the petitioner to the post of Secondary Grade Teacher with effect from 22.12.2023 at the fifth respondent School and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of 4/7

a copy of this order.

9. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
