PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation, dated 29.01.2024 with regard to issue patta to the petitioners' dwelling house respectively situated at Survey No.26/2 in Marikundu Village and S.No.1512/3 in Shanmugasundharapuram Village, Andipatti Taluk, Theni District or otherwise give alternative place in the above said village within the period that may be stipulated by this Court. The petitioners seek issuance of writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 29.01.2024 with regard to issuance of patta to the petitioners' dwelling house expeditiously.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate for the official respondents.

3. The petitioners have made a representation to the 1st respondent on 29.01.2024 seeking patta for their dwelling house. The said representation has 2/4

been forwarded by the 1st respondent to the 2nd respondent and the same is pending consideration.

4. In view of the above, this write petition is disposed of, directing the 2nd respondent to pass final orders on the petitioners' representation for patta, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
