The instant writ petition has been filed by a retired employee of the respondent Transport Corporation, seeking a mandamus directing the respondents to settle the terminal benefits with interest at the rate of 6% per annum including Provident Fund, Gratuity and Commuted Value of Pension.
2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the petitioner had attained superannuation on 31.01.2024. The respondent Corporation is liable to pay the terminal benefits of the petitioner including Provident Fund, Gratuity, leave salary and commuted value of pension and the same is not disbursed. Hence, he sent a representation on 23.03.2025. Since, there is no response from the respondents authorities, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. Considering the above said facts, the respondents Transport Corporation is directed to settle the terminal benefits of the petitioner including 2/5
Provident Fud, Gratuity, Terminal Leave Salary and Commuted Value of Pension along with interest at the rate of 6% from the due date till the date of disbursement within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
