[Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.] The petitioner has come up with this Public Interest Litigation seeking a direction to the respondents to take appropriate action to prevent the burial of dead bodies at the land of the respondents 3 and 4 in Survey No.662 Thattarapatti Village Panchayat, Vedasendur Taluk Dindigul District.

2. Today, when the Writ Petition was taken up for hearing, Mr.M.Govindan, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, referring to the counter affidavit filed by the Assistant Divisional Engineer [Highway], submitted that as of now, the land comprised in Survey No.662, Thattarapatti Village Panchayat, Vedasendur Taluk, Dindigul District, is not going to be used as a burial ground and the authorities will not permit any dead body being buried in the said land.

3. In view of the above said submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, the Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly, thereby binding the respondents by their own undertaking. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
