Heard the learned counsel on either side. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner, A.Aravind was born on 18.04.1995. His father, E.Andavan passed away shortly thereafter (i.e., on 16.09.1995). The petitioner's father's demise was duly registered. Subsequently, a legal heir certificate was also obtained, but the name of the petitioner had been erroneously mentioned in the said legal heir certificate. Likewise, there is also a spelling error in respect of his father. Therefore, the petitioner wanted necessary corrections to be made in the said legal heir certificate dated 14.11.1996 in this regard. The petitioner had made quite a few representations, since they were not acted upon this writ petition came to be filed.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader took notice and today, it is stated that the enquiry in the matter is completed and the papers have been forwarded to the Revenue Divisional Officer, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.10167 of 2020 Thiruchendur, for passing appropriate orders. A copy of the report submitted by the Tahsildhar, Sathankulam, has also been placed before me. I am satisfied that the facts projected by the writ petitioner are correct. Therefore, the first respondent is directed to make necessary corrections in the petition mentioned legal heir certificate as sought for by the petitioner and issue the same within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4.The writ petition stands allowed . No costs.
