Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely, " Innisai Katcheri" (Bakthi Padal) scheduled to be held on 03.08.2018 at night 10.00 p.m. to 01.00 a.m and 05.08.2018 at night 10.00 p.m perfomed by Karagattam in connection with the "37th" year Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Ayya Narayanaswamy Kovil, at A.P.Nadanur, Alankulam Taluk, Tirunelveli District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 07.07.2018.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely, " Innisai Katcheri" (Bakthi Padal) scheduled to be held on 03.08.2018 at night 10.00 p.m. to 01.00 a.m and 05.08.2018 at night 10.00 p.m perfomed by Karagattam in connection with the "37th" year Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Ayya Narayanaswamy Kovil, at A.P.Nadanur, Alankulam Taluk, Tirunelveli District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 07.07.2018. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), who takes notice on behalf of the respondents.
3.According to the petitioner, he made a representation dated 07.07.2018 to the respondents. But, so far, no order has been passed on the said representation. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court with the aforesaid prayer.

of the petitioner dated 07.07.2018 is directed to be considered and an order to that effect would be passed, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.
5.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that if any direction is granted by this Court with regard to the consideration of the petitioner's representation, the same shall be considered in accordance with law. 6.In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.07.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
