JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was made by G.R.Swaminathan J.) Heard the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the appellants.

2.The appellants challenge the order dated 11.02.2020 made in W.P(MD)No.604 of 2020 filed by the respondent herein. The respondent herein was working as Secretary of the second appellant co-operative society. He was placed under suspension. All that the learned single Judge directed was that the management should pay subsistence allowance for the suspension period.

3.It is well settled that when an employee is placed under suspension, he is entitled to subsistence allowance. There is no escape for the management from this statutory duty. Hence, interference with the said order is not warranted.
