Heard the learned counsel on either side. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

W.P.(MD)No.10175 of 2020 2.The petitioner seeks providing of electricity service connection for the petition mentioned premises. The petitioner grievance is that even though he submitted an application more than a year back, till date it has not been acted upon. 3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner is obliged to give an online application. It is also submitted that the petitioner has to do certain wiring activities so as to take the connection from the nearest pole to his house. 4.The petitioner's counsel states that he would comply with both the requirements immediately.

5.Recording the petitioner's undertaking, I direct the petitioner to submit an online application. Subject to fulfillment of all the other formalities, the respondents are directed to provide electricity service connection to the petition mentioned premises immediately and without any delay.

6.The writ petition is allowed on these terms. No costs.
