Respondents Prayer:Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 to take proper legal action against the 6th respondent by illegally quarrying river sand in Kondaiyampettai, Srirangam Taluk, Trichy District and his men from selling the river sand without properly putting up a stockyard and without obtaining any dealer license from the Competent Authority as required by Rule 38-A of the Mines and Minerals Concession Rules 1959 and also directing the respondents 1 to 5 to enable the sand buyers to purchase the river sand directly from PWD. ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by R.SUDHAKAR,J.) This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 5 to take proper legal action against the sixth respondent for illegally quarrying river sand in Kondaiyampettai, Srirangam Taluk, Trichy District and selling the river sand, without properly putting up a stockyard and without obtaining any license from the Competent Authority. 2.The learned Special Government Pleader states that quarry has already been closed on 24.12.2012 and produced the proceedings dated 29.12.2012 to that effect.
3.Recording the same, this writ petition is closed. Connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
