JUDGMENT

[Judgment of the Court was made by RMT.TEEKAA RAMAN, J.] The Writ Appeal is filed as against the order passed by this Court in W.P. (MD)No.7661 of 2020, dated 24.07.2020.

2.When the matter came up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the appellant states that he is unable to get along with the case and he seeks time to get instructions from his client as to whether the prayer has become infructuous or not.

3.Heard the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the

respondents 1 to 3.

4.The matter relating to the appointment of an Advocate who belongs to the particular faith, namely Muslim Member of the Bar Council of the concerned State or Union Territory to the Board as defined under Section 14 of the Waqf Act for the purpose of the election of a particular person for the year 2017. Now the term is completed and over and hence the question that raised with regard to the challenge made to Clause (iii) of Section 14 of the Waqf Act and proviso thereto is left open since the term of office is already over. 5.Accordingly, the Writ Appeal stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
