Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to grant permission and give police protection to conduct the Sound System, Prize distributions, Children Dance Program, Musical Orchestra etc., between 15.07.2018 to 22.07.2018 in pursuance to the festival of "St. Sahayamatha Church", situated in New S.No.206/2, Old No.347/4, Sankaralingapuram Village, Vilathikulam, Thoothukudi Distict.

This writ petition has been filed to grant permission and police protection to conduct the events like Prize distributions, Children Dance Program, Musical Orchestra etc., and to use the sound system, between 15.07.2018 and 22.07.2018 in pursuance to the festival of "St. Sahayamatha Church", situated in New S.No.206/2, Old No.347/4, Sankaralingapuram Village, Vilathikulam, Thoothukudi Distict, based on the petitioner's representation dated 25.06.2018 through online.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3.According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner has made a representation on 25.06.2018 through online to the first respondent, seeking permission and police protection to conduct events like Price distribution, Children Dance Program, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Musical Orchestra and for using sound systems between 15.07.2018 and 22.07.2018, in pursuance to the festival of " St. Sahayamatha Church", situated in New S.No.206/2 Old S.No.347/4, Sankaralingapuram Village, Vilathikulam, Thoothukudi District. 4.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate has placed an order of the first respondent, in Proceedings No Na.Ka.A6/6072/2018 dated 12.07.2018, granting permission to the festival events in an alternative place, which may either in S.No.345 or S.No.223/2B, after obtaining necessary permission from the concerned police and there is no objection in conducting the events in the S.Nos.345 or 223/2B. 5.Taking note of the proceedings passed by the first respondent which is placed before this Court and the submissions made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, it is open to the petitioner to seek appropriate permission before the concerned police to conduct the festival events in the mentioned Survey Nos.345 or 223/2B.
6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
