The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is for a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 06.04.2018. 2.Heard Mr.S.Satheeshkumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.S.Srimathy, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is working as Police Constable at Tamil Nadu Special Police Battalion-I, at Trichy, from the year 2003. The petitioner is having aged parents and his family is settled at Kanyakumari District. Therefore, for the past several years, the petitioner is struggling a lot to look after the family members, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
especially, the aged parents. Therefore, the petitioner has made a request on 06.04.2018, to the respondents, to consider his request for transfer either to Kanyakumari District or Tirunelveli District or Tirunelveli Corporation.
4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that, if the said representation of the petitioner is decided within a time frame on merits, the petitioner would be satisfied. 5.I have heard the learned Special Government Pleader, who, would submit that, the request of the petitioner dated 06.04.2018, would be considered by the competent authority / respondents on merits and in accordance with law and an order to that effect would be passed within a time frame.
6.In view of the said submission made by both sides, this Court is inclined to pass the following order:- "that the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.04.2018 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law, taking into account the family circumstances of the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7.With these directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
