ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the proceedings dated 18.04.2024, in and by which, the first respondent, by referring the election, rejected the request of the petitioner to grant permission and to give necessary police protection for conducting Adal Padal Programme scheduled to be held on 27.04.2024 from 6.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. in the eve of Pookkuli festival of Arulmighu Maha Sathaiya 2/5

Ayyanar Kovil situated at Sathanur Village and Panchayat, Ilayankudi Taluk, Sivagangai District.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. Now, the election in Tamil Nadu is over. Therefore, the petitioner shall renew his application before the first respondent/the Assistant Returning Officer, Sivagangai. On receipt of such application, the first respondent/the Assistant Returning Officer shall consider the same.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 24.04.2024 NCC : Yes / No.
