The Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent and his subordinates not to harass the petitioners under the guise of enquiry.

2.According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioners are being harassed at the hands of the respondent police under the guise of enquiry.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) would submit that a complaint has been preferred against the petitioners by the defacto complainant due to some family dispute and the same was registered in Crime No.996 of 2017 dated 13.12.2017 for the offence punishable under Sections 294(b), 342, 365, 323, 506(1) and 397 IPC. Therefore, the respondent police is conducting enquiry in the matter. But, the allegation of harassment at the hands of the respondent police under the guise of enquiry as https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

alleged by the petitioners is not correct and the same was denied. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner undertakes that the petitioners will co-operate for enquiry.

5.In the light of the above submissions, the respondent police is directed to conduct enquiry and during enquiry if any material is found as against the petitioner, then the respondent shall proceed further under due process of law. 6.With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
