This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against the third respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer, Sivagangai, to make entries in the village and taluk revenue entries and also in the online portal (computer) based on the assignment order, dated 19.09.2003 for the lands measuring 0.40.0 ares in S.No. 119/3 situated at K.Perunkarai, Velani Village, Kalaiyar Kovil Taluk, 2.Heard MrA.Srinivasan, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.N.Muthu Vijayan, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

3.On 20.04.2023, this Court had directed the fourth respondent/Tahsildar, Kalaiyarkovil Taluk, Sivagangai to make inspection of the lands. A report had been filed that the inspection had 2/5

been conducted.

4.The file is now pending before the Revenue Divisional Officer. Since the Revenue Divisional Officer is the competent authority to pass necessary orders, let him examine the report of the Tahsildar and issue notice to the petitioner, if required, and after affording opportunity of personal hearing, pass final order within period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
