O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 3 and 4 herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.04.2024 and 01.12.2023 respectively within a reasonable time as may be fixed by this Court.
2. It is the case of the Writ Petitioner that his elder brother viz., Rajendran has executed a settlement deed in his favour vide settlement deed dated 14.05.2020. Thereafter, based on a petition filed by his elder brother, the 2nd respondent has cancelled the said settlement deed. Challenging the said cancellation, the petitioner has filed a writ petition before this Court in W.P. (MD)No.20612 of 2023 and this Court, by an order dated 06.03.2024, allowed the said writ petition by setting aside the order of the second respondent. Thereafter, the petitioner has sent a representation on 01.12.2023, before the third respondent seeking to not to transfer the patta, however, the same was not considered till date. 2/4
Thereafter, the petitioner has also sent a representation on 09.04.2024 to the 4th respondent seeking to transfer the house tax receipt in the petitioner's name. Since the above said representations were not considered by the respondents, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.
3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondents 3 and 4 to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 09.04.2024 and 01.12.2023 and pass orders in accordance with law in respect of changing the name of the petitioner in the revenue records. Such an exercise shall be completed, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
