This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to grant three days emergency leave to the petitioner's husband viz., Veerasamy Pandian S/o.Ponnusamy, a life convict, confined at Madurai Central prison, as per Rule 6 of the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982. 2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the application filed by the petitioner, seeking emergency leave is of the year 2014 and due to passage of time, no further order is required in this writ petition.
3.In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this writ petition is closed. However, it is always open to the petitioner to make application before the respondent, if he requires any such relief in future. No costs.
