Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to sanction retirement benefits of the petitioner's husband namely P.Gunasekaran as follows:- Gratuity - Rs.6,53,095/- Earned Leave -Rs.4,03,100/- RBS -Rs.9,650/- Ex-gratia -Rs.8,400/- Erode Engineering College -Rs.740/- Erode Medical College -Rs.1,760/- Polytechnic -Rs.1,500/- I.R.D.Development Fund -Rs.500/- Family Welfare Fund of -Rs.5,00,000/- Moreover Family pension and other retirement benefits along with 6% interest per annum within time limit that may be fixed by this Court. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner's husband Thiru.P.Gunasekaran was employed in the respondent corporation as Selection Grade Driver. He passed away on 13.08.2022. The specific stand of the petitioner is that the retirement benefits have not been settled.

3. Notice was issued. The respondents have not placed any material before this Court indicating the settlement of the retiral benefits.

4. I therefore direct the respondents to settle the retiral benefits payable on account of the death of the petitioner's husband within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. Since the amount has not been settled in time, it will carry interest at the rate of 6% per annum.
