This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant necessary permission and provide adequate police protection to celebrate festival and to conduct cultural programs from 03.06.2022 to 05.06.2022 on the eve 1/3
of Vaikasi festival in the petitioner's village temple namely Arulmighy Kamba Kamatchi Amman and Arulmighu Karuppusamy Temple, situate in Nadu Muthalaikulam Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District as per the order, dated 30.05.2019 made in W.P.(MD) No.12642 of 2019 on the file of this Court by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 13.05.2022.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the villagers decided to celebrate festival in the temple from 03.06.2022 to 05.06.2022 in grand manner. Hence, the petitioner submitted his representation on 13.05.2022 before the respondents 1 to 3 for seeking permission to the above festival. Since no action was taken, the petitioner approached this Court. 3.The learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the fourth respondent already filed W.P(MD).No.9417 of 2022 and obtained an order with regard to conduct the festival, suppressing the earlier order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD) No.12642 of 2019, wherein, the parties are permitted to celebrate the function peacefully.
4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondents 1 to 3 are directed to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 13.05.2022 subject to the orders passed in W.P.(MD).Nos.12642 of 2019 and 9417 of 2022 within a period of one week from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
