O R D E R

The grievance of the petitioner is that a complaint dated 18.01.2024, regarding tracing of missing original sale deed vide Document No.256 of 1992, on the file of West Karur, Karur District, has not been acted upon by the respondent police. Hence, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

2. Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who takes notice for the respondents, submits that a Circular in Rc.No. 2029209/General.1(1)/2022, dated 01.04.2022 has been issued by the Director General of Police, Chennai, prescribing certain guidelines for issuance of a Non Traceable Certificate.

3. In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner in the light

of the above circular and take a decision within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Petitioner is also directed to follow the Procedures as stated in the Circular of the Director General of Police.
