PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to submit a report to this Court about the action taken against the illegal electrical fencing and consequently directing the respondents to form a scientific methodology to eradicate the death of wild lives due to scarcity of water and fodder in all over the forest areas. [Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.] The petitioner has come up with this Public Interest Litigation seeking a direction to the respondents to submit a report to this Court about the action taken to prevent the illegal electrical fencing and for a consequential direction to the respondents to form a scientific methodology to eradicate the death of wildlife due to scarcity of water and fodder in all over the forest areas in the State of Tamil Nadu. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 2 to 7 submitted that effective steps are being taken to preserve the wildlife. The said statement is recorded. 3.Recording the above statement of the learned Special Government Pleader, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
