O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to provide police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and her parents.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner and the third respondent are husband and wife. Their marriage was solemnized on 24.05.2020 and thereafter, they were leading their matrimonial life in a rental house in Salem. Since the petitioner had severe abdomen pain, the doctor advised the petitioner not to have sexual intercourse. However, the third respondent compelled the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner left the matrimonial home and went to her parents house. While being so, the third respondent and his family members threatened the petitioner to sign for the second marriage for the third respondent. Hence, the petitioner send a representation to the respondents 1 and 2 through registered post on 16.05.2022. Since no action was taken on the said representation, this Criminal Original Petition was filed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.9529 of 2022 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the representation of the petitioner, dated 16.05.2022 will be considered within a period of four weeks.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondents police are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.05.2022 and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that no favourable direction is given in favour of the petitioner. 5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
