Criminal Original Petition is filed under section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, praying this Hon'ble Court to direct the 1st respondent to file the final report in Crime no.2/2014 dated 19/12/2014 within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Honourable Court.
ORDER:- Criminal Original Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.R.M.Anbunithi, Additional Public Prosecutor on behalf of the petitioner and of Mr.T.Sakthikumaran, Advocate for the respondent, this Court made the following order:
This petition has been filed for extension of time to file a final report in Crl.O.P(MD)No.2681 of 2021 dated 19.02.2021 in Crime No.02 of 2014.
2. By order dated 19.02.2021, a direction was issued by this https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
CRL MP(MD). No.4398 of 2021 Court to the first respondent police to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of that order.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that after completion of investigation, final report is made ready and they are waiting for approval of the Additional Chief Secretary Labour Welfare Department Secretariat, Chennai and he seeks one month time to file a final report.
4. Considering the request made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, one month time is granted to file a final report before the concerned court. Accordingly, this petition is ordered.
