ORDER

This petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to give police protection to the petitioner for the purpose of fencing the property situated in Town Survey No.136, Ward-D, Bolck-27, Tenkasi Town, Tenkasi District on the basis of the representation of the petitioner dated 27.04.2021. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner appears to have purchased the property meant for pathway to around 400 people residing in that area. Because of the dispute between the petitioner and those persons, police picketing is also ordered and 1/3

police is also stationed in that area. It is also submitted that Revenue Divisional Officer also convened a peace committee meeting for the purpose of resolving the dispute and the peace committee meeting is also under progress. According to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition cannot be considered at this stage.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner states that for the limited purpose of fencing the property, police protection must be granted to him.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that the peace committee meeting is under progress, the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner cannot be granted.

5.Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
