O R D E R

This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to take appropriate action to grant adequate police protection to the petitioner so as to clear the damage caused in the Road by the fifth respondent in S.No.19 of 10A5 of Elanthaikulam, Madurai, East Taluk, Madurai city.

2. Mr.B.Nambiselvan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the fifth respondent has damaged the service road in S.No.19/10A5, which was being used by the petitioner and many others. According to the petitioner, this road is the only access to his and others house. The fifth 2/5

respondent has already gifted the road to the Madurai Corporation and she has no right or title to the road. The fifth respondent has also threatened the petitioner with dire consequences, if he attempts to enter the road.

4. Now the grievance of the petitioner is that he requires police protection to clear the above said damage caused in the road.

5. Such prayer of granting of police protection to clear the damage on the road is not maintainable. However, this Court directs the concerned competent authority to dispose the petitioner's representation dated 10.04.2023 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
