[Order of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.] Prayer in this writ petition reads as follows: "For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, it is therefore prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a WRIT OF MANDAMUS or any other appropriate writ or direction directing the 1st respondent to remove the 4th respondent herein from the post of Village Panchayat President in Thirumalpuram panchayat, Andipatti panchayat union, Theni District as per Section 205 of Panchayats Act based on the petitioner's representation dated 03.03.2023 and pass such further or other orders as this Hon'ble may deem it fit and proper in the circumstances and thus render justice"

2. Learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 has produced a copy of the letter, dated 18.04.2023, addressed by the Assistant Director (Panchayats) to the Assistant Director (Audit), Integrated Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Theni, showing that proceedings under Section 205 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 have already been taken and the Assistant Director (Audit) has been appointed as Enquiry Officer to go into the questions.

3. In view of the same, the writ petition is dismissed as unnecessary. No costs.
