ORDER : This petition, today listed under the caption for "Extension of Time for Trial Court", upon perusing the earlier order of this Court dated 18/10/2023 and the requisition letter of the I Additional District Judge, Madurai, vide letter in D.No.216/2024, dated 11/03/2024, this court made the following order:- Today, this case is listed under the caption for "Extension of Time for Trial Court".
2. It is evident from the records that this Court, vide order dated 18.10.2023, directed the learned Additional District Judge, Madurai, to dispose of the petition in S.O.P.No.126 of 2021 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of that order.
3. The learned I Additional District Judge, Madurai, has submitted a requisition dated 11.03.2024 stating that the officer is also placed Full Additional Charge of III Additional District and Sessions Court (PCR), Madurai and proceeded with the case as per the direction of this Court and that she is conducting double murder case in S.C.No.470 of 2020 (Sathankulam case) as per the direction of this Court and seeks three months further time to dispose of the petition. 2/3
4. Considering the reasons assigned, this Court is inclined to grant three months further time.
