O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the records in Crime No.74 of 2013, on the file of the first respondent and to quash the same as illegal.

2. Today when the petition is came up for hearing, Mr.A.P.G. Ohm Chairma Prabhu, the learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondent Police, on instructions, would submit that in the petition mentioned Crime Number, the first respondent Police completed the investigation and filed the final report and the same was taken on file by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur in C.C.No.74 of 2020.

3. Though the prayer sought for by the petitioner has become infructuous, considering the fact that the alleged FIR has been registered in the year of 2014, it is appropriate to give a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur, for disposing the said case within the stipulated period.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur, to dispose of the case in C.C.No.74 of 2020, as early as possible, preferably, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, concerned MP is closed.
